Dr. Boucher is fellowship trained in joint replacement of the hip and knee. He sees patients in Bel Air, Lutherville and in Baltimore at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. Dr. Boucher specializes in primary, revision and partial knee replacements, robotic joint replacements using MAKOplasty, as well as primary (anterior, posterior and anterolateral approaches) and revision hip replacement and hip resurfacing. Dr. Boucher also offers non-surgical stem cell treatments for degenerative diseases of the hip and knee.
In addition to traditional treatment, Dr. Boucher also offers a regenerative medicine technique that gently processes and uses your body's own fat tissue to cushion and support areas of injury or damage as your body heals itself.
Dr. Boucher is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He also has extensive experience in the development of implants and instruments for hip and knee replacement. Dr Boucher has been the recipient of the Golden Apple Award for teaching excellence multiple times.
