MedStar Union Memorial Hospital has named Kari Kindschi, MD, medical director of the Arnold Palmer SportsHealth Center. Dr. Kindschi will provide strategic medical oversight and collaboration in her new role.
The Arnold Palmer SportsHealth Center, part of MedStar Sports Medicine, offers patients fast, convenient access to world-class physicians and cutting edge medical care. The Center provides an evaluation by a sports medicine trained physician within 48 hours of calling, serving as a patient’s first step in getting sports medicine issues diagnosed and treated fast.
“I am excited to be part of a new chapter at the Arnold Palmer Sports Health Center,” said Dr. Kindschi. “We are committed to continuing the tradition of high quality care for athletes and active people of all ages.”
Dr. Kindschi, a board-certified fellowship trained primary care sports medicine physician, has practiced at the Center since 2010.
Specializing in the non-operative treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, Dr. Kindschi is an expert in medical issues that are specific to sports and exercise in athletes and active patients of all ages and skill levels.
Dr. Kindschi earned her medical degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She completed a residency in family medicine at the University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine, where she was elected chief resident; and continued her medical training as a primary care sports medicine fellow at Duke University Medical Center.
Dr. Kindschi serves as the head team physician and the medical director for Towson University Athletics.
