Breast Cancer
Our hospital's physicians work closely with nurses and technicians to provide screening and diagnostic mammograms, biopsy procedures, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, nutritional support, and risk assessment. The Breast Cancer specialists include board-certified general and surgical oncologists, plastic reconstructive surgeons as well as medical and radiation oncologists. Our patients' oncology nurse navigator or clinical nurse specialist ensures that they are seen in a timely fashion and guides them through the process of being seen by the appropriate specialists. In addition, in-depth educational materials are provided and patients are encouraged to take an active role in preventing, detecting and treating breast disease.
Knowledge of breast disease increases the chances for early detection and successful treatment. Having comprehensive radiology, medical oncology and radiation oncology units on the premises facilitates treatment of breast disease.
